2.0 IQAC COMMITTEE:

The National assessment and Accreditation Council advocated the establishment of Internal Quality assurance Cell (IQAC) by all the accredited institutions as a post accreditation quality sustenance activity.

Objective

The primary aim of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

Functions

Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are:

* Development and application of quality benchmarks / parameters for the various  academic and administrative activities of the institution.
* Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.
* Organisation of workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of  quality circles.
* Documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement.
* Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.

Strategies
IQAC shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for:

* Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
* Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching, learning and evaluation.
* Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure.

IQAC will facilitate / contribute:

* To a heightened level of clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement and facilitate internalization of the quality culture.

         Committee should prevent and stop the physical and mental harassment in college.

         The mental harassment must be stopped by committee.

         Committee should create the atmosphere in which the harassment has no place.

Sexual Harassment Cell

Sexual harassment cell has been established in the College to prevent sexual harassment.

Function & power :-

To create atmosphere of equality and mutual understanding among students of different sex.

To see hat incidents of sexual harassment do not take place in the institution.

To search & investigate the truth in case of such complaints.

To report the head the institution and the management regarding such incidents.

1.       Look after admission, examination and administrative work.

2.       Look after admission process, within time limit, admission procedure must be completed.

4.       The decision for admission, administration and examination may in favors of students.

Aim of committee:

1.       After result of 12th, student may have to pay the fee for admission form and apply for admission.

2.       After the result of STD 12th, the student who come very first and pay the admission fee may get the admissions in both steams of the college.

3.       In the arts faculty, students have to select any one of the three main subjects as their main subject in order to get the bachelors degree.

4.       Students must follow the rules of college which guidance to the students and their parents about admission procedure.

5.       Committee members will help the students to fill the details in admission form in order to keep the procedures fair and easy.

6.       After getting admission students may get guidance about their subjects or subject group from committee members.

7.       The committee members take care that all government rule for admission are followed .

Constitution of the Library committee:

         As per U.G.C. guideline lectures of each faculty may suggest the name of books which are related with syllabus the committee will sanction it.

         The committee should suggest the text books to purchase for student benefit.

         The committee will guide the librarian to purchase magazines,bulletins,journal etc which are related with different subjects

         The committee may accept suggestions from lecturers and students,in order to reading materials.

         Committee may suggest to riding the book and magazines and other reading materials

         The committee should suggest for modernization of library by latest new equipments.

         The committee will give suggestion for proper management of library.

         Committee will gave the guidance to librarian forremoval of tarm book and other materials.

         The duties of the committee shall be as follows:

         to provide for proper organization and functioning of the library, documentation services and updating the stock of books;

         to provide for proper modernization and improvement of library and documentation services;

         to recommend to the Board of Management library fees and other charges for the use of library services by students and others;

         to prepare the annual budget and proposals for development of the libraries;

         to submit to the Board of Management the annual report on the functioning of the library;

         to see that library functions as the information resource centre for the University.

         to allocate the budget to the constituent Colleges and Departments.

         to establish intra-library loan service for the benefits of the faculty and the

students.

         to procure books and journals including e-journals, e-books and on-line

journals.

         to recommend to the Academic Council to start certificate, diploma,

degree and research programmes in library and information science.

         Besides this, each constituent college has its own advisory committee which is

chaired by the Principal and its other members are all Heads of the Departments.

         The librarian of the college concerned acts as member-secretary

The alumni association of the college was established on through a general meeting of ex-student. The alumni association participated interactive session with NAAC-peer team visited July-2008.The alumni association organized re-union on dt28/07/08 meeting was inaugurated by our honorable trustee and principal. The total 76 participated held meeting.

2009-2010

Third meeting was organized on 09/08/09 and re-construction union member. Meeting was inaugurated by our honorable trustee and principal. The total 52 participated held meeting. Vote of thank by In-charge of Alumni Association, faculty member Prof.R.N.Aghera.

2010-11, 2011-12 & 2012-13 Alumni meeting has organized on annual function.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

There is an actively functioning PTA in our college. The PTA assures the participation and co-operation of the parents and teachers in the all round development of the students of the college.  Every year the PTA raises substantial funds meant for the benefit of the student community. Separate parent teacher meetings are held for various departments.  The membership fee is collected during the time of admission. Parents are encouraged to meet the staff members in order to facilitate co-operation and collaboration in our educational work.

Constitution of the committee:

1. The committee has been constituted for the new constructions as per the guide lines of u.g.c.

2. The committee prepares the formula for constructions of necessary building.

3. In the committee the trustees,lecturers,local p.w.d. ,engineer and the engineer of Saurashtra university are appointed in order to manage the construction.

4. The committee should prepare the construction proposal and send it to u.g.c. via university officials to get the grant.

5. Committee should look after the instruction of u.g.c. or local management after the construction is started.

6. Committee should apply for utilization certificate only after the construction is completed.
